How a shoot works

Every job follows the same four steps, with the shoot date and delivery time agreed in the quote.

  1. Enquire

Send the address, the type of property, site or vessel, and where the tour will be used.

  2. Quote

A fixed quote lists the deliverables, the shoot date and how long the tour stays online.

  3. Shoot

Capture on site at the agreed time. Most homes and small venues take one to two hours.

  4. Deliver

A tour link ready to share or embed, plus the floor plan, stills and files listed in the quote.

Equipment and what each is for

Each job uses the equipment that suits the space and the deliverables.

Best for premium property, commercial spaces and construction records

360 camera

Fast 360 stills and video in tight or busy spaces.

Best for Google Street View, boat cabins and condition records

DJI drone

Aerial photos and 360 panoramas, flown under CASA rules.

Best for land, new estates, marinas and construction overviews

Floor plan
A measured plan with room sizes, where iGUIDE or Matterport is used.
Still images
High-resolution stills taken during the shoot, for listings and print.

Hosting terms
How long the tour stays online and how the files can be kept afterwards, in writing.

When a tour is not the right tool

In these cases the quote will recommend photos or a floor plan instead.

  • A single room or small space that a few good photos already explain.
  • A space that will change before anyone views the tour, such as a fit-out still under way.
  • A job that only needs measurements: a measured floor plan can be quoted on its own.
  • Premises that cannot be kept clear of staff and customers, unless the shoot can run outside opening hours.

Questions before you enquire

Anything not covered here can go in the enquiry form below.

How long does a shoot take?

Most homes and small venues take one to two hours on site. Larger properties and building sites are scheduled around access and construction progress.

Does the property need to be empty?

No. Furniture stays in place. Benches, floors and mirrors should be clear, and people and pets are kept out of the rooms being scanned. Faces and number plates caught in shot are blurred before delivery.

Where can a tour be published?

A tour is delivered as a link that can be embedded on a website, added to real estate and boat listings, shared on social media, or published to Google Maps as a Street View tour.

How long does a tour stay online?

The hosting period is stated in the quote, together with what happens when it ends and how the files can be downloaded and kept.

Who owns the tour?

Ownership and usage rights are written into each quote before the shoot, so it is clear who can publish the tour and where.

What happens on a windy or rainy day?

Interior scans are not affected by the weather. Drone flights and outdoor 360 shots are rescheduled when wind, rain or low light would affect safety or quality.

Are drone flights carried out under CASA rules?

Yes. Every flight follows Civil Aviation Safety Authority rules, including the airspace restrictions around Illawarra Regional Airport at Albion Park.

Which areas are covered?

On-site capture covers Wollongong and the northern suburbs, Shellharbour, Shell Cove, Albion Park, Dapto, Kiama and Gerringong.
