NSW requires an ingoing condition report for every residential lease. A 3D scan made on the same day records every room and surface, and can be compared with a new scan when the tenant leaves.
A short checklist is sent with the quote: benches and floors clear, blinds open, lights on, cars out of the driveway and pets out of the house.
Occupied homes are scanned with the owner's or tenant's agreement. Personal photos can be turned down, and faces and number plates caught in shot are blurred before delivery.

The floor plan is measured from the scan and is suitable for marketing, with room sizes and floor area. It is not a survey and does not replace a surveyor's plan.
