360 boat tours for Illawarra dealers and private sellers

Growing Digits provides 360 tours of the cabin, helm and engine bay, with drone shots on the water, so buyers can inspect a boat before they make the drive.

What is captured on board

Buyers from Sydney or Canberra decide whether a boat is worth the drive before they leave home. The tour shows them the parts that photos skip.

Cabin and saloon
Berths, galley, head and storage in 360, including tight spaces a still photo cannot show well.
Helm and electronics
The helm seat view, the dash, the instruments and the electronics fitted.
Engine bay
The engine and hatch area, so buyers can see the condition before an inspection.
Deck and cockpit
Seating, swim platform, rod holders and covers, from bow to stern.
On the water
Drone photos and aerial 360 on Lake Illawarra or at Shell Cove, flown under CASA rules.
QR code for the windscreen
People walking past at the yard or the ramp open the tour on their phone.

Dealer yard days

Several boats are scanned in one visit to the yard, the showroom or the marina, quoted per day. Each boat gets its own tour link, ready for the dealer's website and boat sales listings.

  • Tours for new stock as it arrives
  • One link and one QR code per boat
  • Drone shots on the water by arrangement

Private sellers

A single boat on a trailer at home, on a mooring or in a marina berth. The boat does not need to be in the water for the interior and deck tour.

The tour link can be added to any listing that accepts links, and shared directly with interested buyers.

When a boat tour is not needed

In these cases the quote will recommend photos instead.

  • Small open boats, tinnies and kayaks that a few photos already explain.
  • Boats about to be cleaned, detailed or repaired. The shoot is better booked afterwards.
  • Marinas or yards where filming is not permitted.

Questions before you enquire

Anything not covered here can go in the enquiry form below.

Does the boat need to be in the water?

No. The cabin, helm, engine bay and deck can be captured on a trailer, on the hardstand or in a marina berth. Shots on the water are arranged separately.

Can a 360 camera work in a small cabin?

Yes. A 360 camera suits tight cabins and engine bays, where larger 3D scanners cannot be positioned.

Are drone flights carried out under CASA rules?

Yes. Every flight follows Civil Aviation Safety Authority rules, including the airspace restrictions around Illawarra Regional Airport at Albion Park. Flights are rescheduled in strong wind or rain.

Who arranges marina or yard access?

The owner or dealer arranges access, and the shoot follows the marina or yard rules on filming and drones.

Can several boats be done in one visit?

Yes. Dealers can book a yard day, quoted per day, with a separate tour link and QR code for each boat.

Which areas are covered?

Boats in Wollongong and the northern suburbs, Shellharbour, Shell Cove, Albion Park, Dapto, Kiama and Gerringong, including Lake Illawarra.
