How a Street View shoot works

Shoots are booked before opening or after closing, so customers and staff are not in the way.

  1. Enquire

Send the business name, the address and the rooms or areas customers use.

  2. Quote

A fixed quote based on the size of the premises, with the shoot time agreed in advance.

  3. Shoot

A small premises is usually captured in under an hour, outside trading hours.

  4. Publish

The images are connected into a tour and published to the business's Google Maps listing.

Street View and local SEO together

A tour adds the most value when the Business Profile is found in the first place. Growing Digits also provides local SEO and Google Business Profile management, so the two can be quoted together.

  • Business Profile categories, details and photos reviewed
  • The tour and new photos published in the same visit
  • Calls, direction requests and website visits tracked afterwards

Who owns the images

The business receives the original 360 image files and can keep and reuse them. Images published to Google Maps are also covered by Google's terms for contributed content.

A tour can be updated after a fit-out or a refurbishment by publishing new images over the old positions.

When a Street View tour is not needed

In these cases the quote will recommend photos or Business Profile work instead.

  • Mobile and home-based businesses with no premises that customers visit.
  • Premises about to be refitted. The shoot is better booked after the fit-out.
  • Spaces that change every day, such as a market stall or a pop-up.
  • Businesses without a Google Business Profile yet. The profile is set up first.
